129 Carter Street Project (New Iberia, LA)

This home was built for Amy Broussard and her two young sons, Bren (10) and Cade (8).  The Broussard family is originally from Delcambre, LA and lost their entire home to flooding during Hurricane Rita.  With the help of Iberia Habitat for Humanity and a small army of dedicated volunteers, Amy and her boys are now living in a safe, affordable home of their own.

This home was donated to Iberia Habitat for Humanity in the late 1990's and has been used as a storage facility in the years since.  We recently began rehabilitating this home for Denis & Brenda Washington, a couple who desperately needs housing assistance.  More updates and pictures for this project to come...
